H.O.G.® chapter of Route 77 Harley Davidson of Kuala Lumpur Chapter and Lions Club jointly organize “The Superkids Ride & Fly” CSR program under Two Wheels Warrior Program.
The H.O.G.® chapter under the sponsorship of the Route 77 Harley Davidson Dealership is a social group of Harley Davidson Riders providing support under the Two Wheels Warrior program banner that was set up to enable Harley Davidson owners to give back to the community.
The main objective of this CSR effort is to share and send smiles to the 120 children present from various homes in the Klang Valley by giving them the opportunity of a lifetime the experience of riding on a Harley Davidson motorcycle and giving them “wings” to fly on an aircraft. Our hope is also to fulfil the last wish of some of these children that are terminally ill. This would be the 6th event of its kind with the last one organized back in 2018 before the Covid-19 pandemic. For the current program, the children are gathered at Route 77 HDKL Jalan Ampang where some of them will get to meet Harley Davidson riders and then get on the motorcycle for a short joyride while the others engage in fun activities.
They then hop on a bus heading to Subang Airport, and board the ATR 72 aircraft for a chance to enjoy Kuala Lumpur’s cityscape from the sky at night before ending the event.
This event has received sponsorship from the corporate world from Top Glove Foundation, PECCA Aviation Services, Meca, and kind individuals from Lions, Top Glove and HOG.
The organizing team had forged some important synergies and collaborations with LIONS Club who have organized the children, HOG Route 77 HDKL Chapter members, Route 77 HDKL Dealership, Batik Air for agreeing to provide the flight services, the Malaysia Association for the Blind and Jabatan Siasatan dan Penguatkuasaan Trafik (JSPT) Bukit Aman to give some assistance for the journey to the airport.
