During a safety awareness campaign held in Seremban today during the media conference, the Ketua Pengarah Jabatan Pengangkutan Jalan Malaysia, Yang Berbahagia Dato’ Zailani Bin Hj Hashim, said that motorcycle convoys with more than one rider must send a list of participants and motorcycles involved to the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM) and the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
He added that the list will be used by the JPJ to check the details of each participant such as the validity period of insurance and driver’s license, as well as the condition of the vehicles involved in the convoy.
He further explained that the Police and JPJ will also be present at the designated location to monitor the situation to ensure that no untoward incident occurs.
