With 44 teams already confirmed participation, the BRAAAP 2 Hours Endurance 2022, the 3rd edition this time is a night endurance race.

For the first time in Malaysia, spectators will witness a full grid of competition on 11 December 2022 this at the Sepang International Circuit (SIC); thus promising a great battle stage for the racers while performing thrilling and entertaining stunts for the audience. “We are very excited and moved by this overwhelming response. It is strengthen our spirit not only to make the BRAAAP 2 Hours race Endurance 2022 as an annual event; but as a premier event in the calendar the nation’s motor sport,” said chief organizer Mr. Azuan Izadee, who is also the President BRAAAP Motorsports.

Exclusive for kapcai machinery or mopeds and ‘sportbikes’ 150cc – 400cc and future using the SIC South Circuit, an event that will feature premier racing 2 hour ‘endurance’ and lap ‘sprint’ races as support races, open to the participation of local professional and amateur riders as well as some invited riders from overseas . While the ‘endurance’ race is open to professional racers and amateurs, the ‘sprint’ race event will be contested by amateur racers only. While amateur racers are among those who have a racing license valid issued by the Malaysian Motoring Association (MAM), category ‘Racers Professional’ refers to those who have participated in the premier categories Cub Prix Malaysia, Malaysian Superbike Championship and championships international such as MotoGP, Asia Road Racing Championship, youth championship international CEV, FIM Asia Supermoto and other championships. This racing event will also involve some invited riders from other countries such as Thailand, Indonesia, Taiwan and the Philippines to give competition to the local racers in addition to being able to promote Malaysian motor sports to the international level.

Specifically, six race categories will be contested where three are for ‘endurance’ competition and three more for ‘sprint’ races. While the ‘endurance’ competition is a pairing of two riders who ride one machine in turn to record the most laps in 2 hours, the ‘sprint’ race is the competition individual for 8 rounds. The three categories for ‘endurance’ competition are the MP150 and MP150 Elite classes for machinery 150cc four-stroke moped; and the SB150 class for 150cc four-stroke ‘sportbike’ machines. Three the category for the ‘sprint’ race is the SB250 and SB250 Elite category for machinery 250cc; and SB400 for 400cc machines.

In addition to trophies, prizes in the form of products and cash are also provided for the top three winners for each category. Spectators are invited to the Sepang International Circuit (south track) and this event will also be broadcast live via Facebook live.

Founded in 2015, BRAAAP Motorsports is pioneered by a group hardcore riders, who want to see the sport of two-wheeled motoring grow advance by offering a variety of appropriate programs and activities.
