5th ANNUAL KAWASAKI ROAD SAFETY CAMPAIGN

The 5th annual road safety campaign was held in conjunction with coming Chinese New Year celebration organized by Kawasaki Motors Malaysia Sdn Bhd in collaboration with Malaysia Motorcycle and Scooter Dealers Association (MMSDA). Road Transport Ministry (JPJ) and Road Safety Department of Malaysia at Sg Besi Toll, Kuala Lumpur.

Deputy Minister of Transport YB Dato’ Haji Kamarudin Bin Jaffar, officiated the safety campaign, he express his concern for the motorcyclist which has the highest fatality figures, the number of deaths due to accidents over 80% is motorcyclist and pillion fatality. It clearly shows that motorcyclist are the most high risk road users.

The real reason for these statistics is from other road users of the highway itself, such as driving over the speed limit, changing paths without giving signals or passing signals, racing, fatigue, using mobile phones while driving and running the red light.
