Off The Grid (OTG) is a sub-brand created by the team behind Art of Speed (AOS), the largest automotive lifestyle event in SouthEast Asia. Conceived in 2022 as a pocket event within AOS, OTG has been well received with positive results and built itself a substantial fanbase. With AOS experience in community building, the aim is to bring together the various outdoor lifestyle communities within Malaysia in one major event.

OTG is inspired by the biggest annual outdoor lifestyle event in Japan – ‘FIELDSTYLE’. As Malaysia has its own communities of outdoor lifestyle enthusiasts with an ever growing interest, OTG will serve as the platform for the outdoor lifestyle segment as well as introduce newcomers who are interested to learn more about this hobby. Now as a standalone event, OTG is expected to target a visitor count of approximately 30,000 attendees.

Off The Grid 2024 (OTG 2024) is taking place at Malaysia Agro Exposition Park, Serdang (MAEPS) – inside Hall Awith an area of 150,000 sqft along with 4 acres of outdoor area. MAEPS will host OTG 2024 on 23, 24 & 25 February 2024 (10:00 am – 10:00 pm).

  1. BREW FESTA – THE COFFEE LOVER’S OASIS

What is an outdoor lifestyle without coffee? After all, brewing hot coffee over a fire has been a longtime culture and deep-rooted tradition of the outdoor lifestyle. If the aroma of coffee activates neurons in your brain then make sure to stop by Brew Festa – a slow bar concept with an outdoor/camping theme.

But what is a “slow bar”? If this is your first time hearing the term, it is a coffee bar where the barista takes their time to make the coffee. Often they will use slow-brewing techniques for a hands-on approach which gives time for the barista to have a chat with you for a more personalised service.

  1. BBQ SHOWDOWN – THE VEGAN’S HORROR

Meat, meat and more meat. Need we say more? What better way to utilise an outdoor campfire than sticking meat over an open flame for that good old bbq goodness.

Leave it to MeatXpert Premium Butcher to host the BBQ Showdown. 6 brands (competitors), premium meats and cuts, all-day barbeque, and plenty of satisfied bellies. Carnivores should definitely not miss this “meatstravaganza” – grilling outdoors next to Hall A.

Only got twenty dollars in your pocket? Hunting for that vintage drip? Looking for a come-up? Say less.

Quoting Macklemore aside, visitors will be sure to find cool pre-loved items at bargain prices at the Makers Jamboree & Pasor Dinda Ladies Market. Pasor Dinda is all about the thrift shop vibe, and the ladies from Kuantan, Pahang will not only curate the flea market, but they will also decorate the entire OTG 2024 setup with art installations and also the artisan village.
