According to internal findings, the latest ride-height system interfered with the bike’s balance during corner entry, making it unpredictable and difficult for Bagnaia to manage front-end grip. When Ducati reverted to the previous 2024 version of the system during the Motegi round, Bagnaia’s pace immediately returned — dominating the weekend and proving the theory correct.

🌡 Tire Troubles Add to the Chaos

Just as the team thought they had solved the issue, disaster struck again at Mandalika. Bagnaia’s race unravelled due to a Michelin rear tire issue, which proved unsuitable for Lombok’s extreme heat and abrasive surface. Ducati has since worked closely with Michelin to ensure tire consistency for the remaining races.

🏁 The Road to Redemption

With Marc Marquez sidelined for two rounds, Bagnaia now has a crucial window to regain form and silence critics. Ducati’s focus is to stabilize the Desmosedici GP25 setup ahead of the championship finale. However, whispers in the paddock continue — especially after Carlo Pernat hinted that Ducati could consider swapping Bagnaia for Jorge Martin if results don’t improve.

Insiders reveal that Ducati’s 2026 MotoGP project may return to the GP24 design philosophy, the same platform that delivered Bagnaia’s championship-winning performance. Whether that’s enough to reignite his confidence remains to be seen — but the next few rounds could define Bagnaia’s future with Ducati.

Reverting to 2024 spec bike might be the only solution for Pecco
