Team Petronas Raceline rider, Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah set another stunning Moto2 race at Silverstone circuit by claiming 8th place in the British Grand Prix here today. Riding with full determination, he managed to fence off a few experienced riders to claim another 8 precious points. He is now lying in 19th spot in the championship standings.
It was a marvelous display of skills from our young Malaysian rider who started in 21 at the grid and worked himself up to 8th battling and passing established riders along the way. Everything went very well this morning as the team engineers made an excellent tyre choice for the race and the gamble really paid off.
Hafizh:
I am so happy and no words can describe my feelings. It was a tough race and I was working and training hard before this to ensure my physical is strong to challenge the big boys. Now that I know the keys and I will work even harder to close up the gap with the very top runners. Many thanks to my team who did another magic this morning to provide me an incredible bike set up package. It was frawless and I could rider well.

What a way to celebrate Hari Merdeka!. 8 more points in the bag and that’s a great present for us here in Silverstone. Hafizh once again did a superb job to stay in front of the 2nd group and had to battle for many laps to earn those points. He was determined to make a strong show and the way he work up was truly amazing. ..special credit must be given to the team for their hard work but Hafizh deserved this result as he was inspiring everyone in the team to achieve this far.
