Brad Binder Battles to Strong P4 Finish at Misano
Brad Binder delivered another impressive performance at the San Marino Grand Prix, securing 4th place in a chaotic and unpredictable race at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli. The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider showcased his trademark aggression and racecraft, overcoming tricky conditions to claim his fourth top-four finish of the season.
Binder’s Smart Strategy in Changing Conditions
Lining up on the second row, Binder made a lightning-fast start, immediately slotting into the top five. However, after just seven laps, rain began to fall on one side of the circuit, throwing the race into uncertainty. While six riders opted for a bike swap, Binder held his nerve, staying out on slicks and making the most of the mixed conditions.
Navigating the drying track with precision, Binder pushed hard while managing risk, eventually securing P4 at the checkered flag. His solid points haul also saw him move up to 5th in the championship standings.
Binder Reflects on a Challenging Race
“It was a bit of a stressful situation on the grid with rain dropping. A bit sketchy, and we weren’t too sure what to do. However, I stuck with my gut feeling, and it worked out well. The track was at its worst in the first sector, but it quickly dried. It was a chaotic race because you were unsure how hard you could push and how much risk to take. I’m happy with 4th and to be in the top five again. We found a good compromise with the bike, and I was comfortable. Now we have to work through the items we have in the test and make more progress.”
With confidence growing and strong momentum, Binder will now focus on the upcoming Misano test before heading into the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix and the crucial flyaway rounds. Stay tuned as he continues his fight at the front of the MotoGP pack!
