Authorities in collaboration with Chiang Rai police and relevant agencies conducted an operation resulting in the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of six motorcycles at a resort in the northern border province of Chiang Rai. The suspects, identified as a gang of bikers, were found in possession of a total of 1.8 million methamphetamine pills.

During the raid, officers discovered approximately 380,000 meth pills concealed in the saddlebags of five motorcycles. Preliminary investigations indicated that one of the motorcycles was used for route surveillance while the remaining five were employed for drug transportation.

The apprehension was challenging due to the bikers’ adeptness in utilizing their vehicles’ speed and alternate routes to avoid detection, mirroring tactics commonly employed by drug trafficking groups internationally. Following the arrests, authorities intend to expand the asset seizure process. (Source: TNA)
