KTM Malaysia (Motonation Manufacturer Sdn Bhd) has unveiled the latest CKD unit of the Austrian motorcycle brand, the KTM RC200 and RC390 to its nationwide network of dealers in Soju Sunway. The new KTM RC390 & RC200 adds to the locally assemble Duke 200, 390 and 690. Now there are 5 local assemble KTM models to choose from KTM Malaysia CKD’s lineup.
KTM (Motonation) claims the RC390 can produce a maximum horsepower of 44hp and a top speed of 175km/h . The Duke’s proven liquid-cooled, dohc, fuel-injected counter-balanced four-stroke single serves as a stressed member of the RC’s tubular steel-trellis frame and die-cast swingarm is utilised for extreme level of torsional stiffness, providing excellent tracking stability. The Duke’s 25-degree rake and 3.9-inch trail have been steepened/shortened on the RC390 to 23.5 degrees and 3.5 inches. Add in its shorter 52.8-inch wheelbase and it’s all about sharper handling response. The non-adjustable 43mm inverted fork and spring-preload-adjustable shock are WP.
Present at the launch were Motonation Manufacturer’s chairman Dato Seri Syed Badlishah Tuanku Syed Putra, its CEO Dato Chia Beng Tat, Chief Sales Officer Low Kok Foong, Muhammad Zambry Abu Samah, GM Eurotech Wheel Distribution Sdn.
