KUALA LUMPUR: A local man, suspected of riding his motorcycle in the opposite direction on the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang (SUKE) overpass, leading to a fatal accident, turned himself in at the Kajang Traffic Station on Friday.

According to Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azam Ismail, the Ampang Jaya District Police Chief, the suspect is a 41-year-old food trader residing in Kajang.

“Investigations revealed that the suspect was heading back home to Kajang from Ampang but took the wrong route and decided to enter the SUKE highway flyover against the flow of traffic, resulting in the accident.

“Following the collision with the victim’s motorcycle, the suspect also fell off his own bike. After the incident, he proceeded to return home.

“The suspect only became aware of the case after seeing the news on television and the buzz on social media,” he stated in a press release issued on Saturday.
