Hong Leong Yamaha Motor Sdn. Bhd. (HLYM) has officially announced that they will launch a new model on the 18th. March 2021 (Thursday), starting at 7.00 pm, and will be broadcast live via Yamaha Motor Malaysia’s Facebook page. Could the model be a Yamaha Y15ZR V3 2021?

Through the announcement video posted on Yamaha Motor Malaysia’s Facebook page, HLYM have collaborated with well -known local artist Zizan Razak, who will the host at the launch of the model. Zizan Razak is synonymous with the Ysuku model, but Zizan Razak has given the impression that the model is equipped with a 155cc engine with VVA technology. Or is it possible that at the same time HLYM will also launch the latest Yamaha NVX V2 2021 scooter model?

This latest development will surely delight Yamaha fans in the local market who have been patiently waiting for the official launch date of the Yamaha Y15ZR V3, or maybe it will also be known as the Yamaha Y16ZR. Together we are waiting for the official launch of the model in less than a week.

Earlier this year Yamaha Motors Vietnam officially launched the all-new 2021 Exciter 155 VVA, (Malaysia is Y15Z) which now grew from the current 149cc to 155cc single cylinder. Vietnam was the first country to launch this model. The Exciter 155 VVA is designed to open up a new small sports displacement segment.

  • The compression ratio of 10.5: 1 creates a maximum capacity of 17.7 horsepower at 9,500 rpm rev / min.
  • Maximum torque of 14.4 Nm at 8,000 rpm.
  • 6-speed gearbox
  • Reduced engine feeling when operating at high intensity, reduced noise, better fuel economy when running long journeys.
