On Malaysia Day 16.09.2019, the official TVS Motorcycle distributor for Malaysia and Brunei, Daju Motors Sdn held a test ride for the members of the media, bloggers, youtubers and members of the public to see, touch, hear and ride the latest offerings from TVS Motorcycle, the Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0.
The test ride was held at the Elite Speedway Go Kart Circuit which offers the rider with a safe environment to fully test ride the Apache RTR motorcycles.
The excitement began mounting about the all new TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0: As more than 350 bikers registered to test ride the bike on the Elite Speedway Circuit. The test rides began at 12pm 16th September 2019.
The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is one of the market’s most eagerly awaited motorbikes. This is reflected in the enormous interest in the official presentation held during the TVS Motorcycle brand launching last December, now the latest version is unveiled, and the bike’s success at India, where it was one of the most admired two-wheelers.
Now hundreds of bikers track tested and discovered the performance of the all-new Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition.
The bikers who have registered for the test rides mainly come from Klang Valley and surrounding areas till as far as Malacca.
The TVS cutting-edge performance and technology in a body whose style reflects the values of over 35 years of TVS Motorcycle and the Race Edition has been created around a new technical platform and is powered by an 20.5 PS @ 8500 rpm, 197.75 cc engine, with gives a smooth riding sensations.
Currently in Malaysian markets, there are 2 TVS models which is the Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 and TVS Neo X3i 110.
APACHE RTR 200 4V RACE EDITION 2.0 FEATURES
The Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 is the first motorcycle in its class to be equipped with an advanced A-RT Slipper Clutch, a race-derived technology to complement the racing DNA of RTR 200 4V Engine. The motorcycle sports all-new dynamic racing-inspired graphics based on an aero-form theme along with a stylish and exclusively designed fly-screen for an aggressive racing stance.
The FI variant pushes track performance to the limit with Twin Spray Fuel-Injection technology developed in conjunction with BOSCH – Germany.
A-RT (ANTI-REVERSE TORQUE) SLIPPER CLUTCH
The ‘A-RT Slipper Clutch’ technology, accentuates the motorcycle’s performance, with 22% reduction in clutch force for quicker upshifts, enabling the rider to achieve better lap times. The technology also aims at ensuring rider safety in highspeed downshifts, avoids wheel-hopping while cornering, and improves vehicle stability with the back-balance torque limiter effect. With exciting racing performance, the introduction of the Slipper Clutch in TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Race Edition 2.0 also promises sharp and precise gear shifts with minimal effort.
RACE DERIVED O3C TECH
TVSM patented Oil- Cooled Combustion Chamber (O3C) Technology with ram-air assist reduces the engine heat map by a remarkable 10⁰C delivering high revving performance with uncompromised durability. Light weight Nano friKS coated piston delivers high-revving engine with linear race throttle response and increased engine life.
ELECTRONIC FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM
Closed loop fuel injection system controlled by 16 bit micro-processor for smooth and consistent engine operation under varied ambient conditions. The advanced Fuel-Injection system consists of:
Idling Air Control Valve (IACV):To meter and supply by-pass air to control idling stability which prevents engine stalling and helps in improved drivability.
Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor: To measure manifold pressure and temperature for operating under varied ambient conditions.
Fuel Injector: High pressure twin spray fuel injector supplies fuel just behind the valves for better atomization and hence higher combustion efficiency resulting in:-
- Faster engine response
- Minimal emissions
- Lambda Sensor: To measure residual oxygen in exhaust and operate engine at the targeted Air-Fuel Ratio (AFR).
- Temperature Sensor: To sense the status of the engine for better startability and drivability.
- Fuel Pump: To feed fuel to the injector at higher pressure for maximum combustion efficiency.
RACING ORIGIN SPLIT CRADLE CHASSIS
TVSM patented Double Cradle Split Synchro Stiff Chassis engineered using Multi-Body Dynamics Analysis gives optimized vehicle layout, thereby increasing the stability by 25% and setting the benchmark in its class for excellent riding dynamics.
RACE TUNED KYB SUSPENSION
The Monoshock with monotube floating piston shock absorber is precision-tuned for compression and rebound damping in cooperation with KYB to achieve excellent dynamic response and perfect track balance.
STANDARD ALL-WEATHER GRIP TYRES
The standard Pirelli Angel GT tyres gives the rider excellent dry/wet grip on/off the track providing superior grip and long-lasting performance.
RACING DOUBLE – BARREL EXHAUST
Developed using unique Sound Engineering techniques and made from bare stainless steel provides RTR 2004V Series a signature low frequency sound that pushes you to rev harder.

TVS NEO X3i
The Neo X3i is TVS’s entrant in the moped category. The Neo X3i has key features that makes it stand out from its competitors.
• Air-cooled, 109.7cc, SOHC, single-cylinder Neo XR 110cc Power Engine.
• A digital ignition mapping takes care of fuel delivery and combustion.
• It produces 8.5 bhp at 8,000 RPM and 8.5 NM of torque at a low 4,500 RPM.
• The 3,500 RPM spread between maximum torque and horsepower ought to make the engine more “flexible,” requiring less gear shifting.
