HONDA RS150R V2 / HONDA WINNER X

The talk of Honda RS150R V2 has been circulating after it was officially launch in Vietnam. Vietnam is the first county in Asia to launch better known as Honda Winner X.

So our second guess after the CBR1000RR-R will be the RS150R V2. So, we think this news may be true as other media site also reported that it will enter Malaysian market late 2019 or early 2020.

Winner X

For the Vietnamese market, the Honda Winner X features a completely new design.

The new design of the super moped appear more masculine robust and sportier than previous models.

From the front, the Honda Winner X was clearly influenced by the design of the Air Blade 125 and the Vario 150, with the headlight being moved from the head panel to the chest fairing.

The front light bulbs are also more compact and tapered, taking the form of the sportbike model CBR150R.

The Winner X has Anti-lock Brake System (ABS), which is Honda’s foremost innovation. If the ABS variant is introduced in Malaysia, the RS150 V2 will be the first super moped equipped with ABS and will surely be the new benchmark for this segment’s motorcycle safety features.

However, to keep the price lower, regular brakes are still offered for the standard variants, but given the Combo Brake System (CBS) that automatically activates the rear brakes when the brake lever is pulled firmly.

The brake caliper system stays with 1-piston and so does the telescopic fork suspension, while the disc brakes use either petal or flower type for a more sporty style. Mudguard looks larger, but the rim design remains the same.

In addition, the Winner X meter cluster is broader with full digital features and black background than the round shape and digital-analog combination of previous models.

The layout of information is inline and horizontal, which is now easier to read. The large display of the speedometer is next to the gear indicator in the center of the screen.

Regardless, we look forward to the introduction of the Honda RS150R V2 to Malaysia soon.
