The Yamaha Champions Riding School (YCRS) arrived at Sepang International Circuit on 10th & 11th January 2020 with one aim is to change the riders riding habits
We’ve all been there before, We want to go faster! But how? An easy default is “I gotta get more aggressive, gotta throw down”. However, trying harder with more-abrupt inputs (throttle, brakes, steering or body) throws us over the edge of grip. Traction is not infinite, so sneak up on the edge to survive and thrive.
ChampSchool is a two-day training program originally designed for the Freddie Spencer High-Performance Riding School in the 90s, based on the “Champions Habits”. These are the are the habits that the best riders in the world are using and the techniques we strive to emulate.
YCRS‘s ChampSchool program focus on a combination of advance braking techniques like trail braking and body position with the bike steering with less lean techniques use by GP riders like Freddie Spencer & Eddie Lawson and introducing a guided approach and tuning the mindsets of the best riders in the world in to the participants.
ChampSchool program are the foundation of safety and consistency to whatever speed you ride, in any venue, on any bike. Participants are coached to ride fast but safe for street riding right to track riders and even for competitive racing.
The YCRS program is build on two principles:
How the best riders in the world ride and how a modern motorcycle is designed to be ridden. YCRS gives the participant the shortcut and improve the riders skills and confidence by apply techniques used by GP riders.
YCRS limits the class size and so the on track coaches are able to focus on each student’s needs, said Nick Ienatsch the lead Instructor of YCRS.
YCRS is laser-focused on the riding improvement. Prepared to be immersed as the coaches works under a single rule: Each student gets what they need. Plain and simple. Rider satisfaction and safety ties for our first, second and third priority and YCRS will advance and revolutionize your riding skills. Be it a trackday rider, normal street rider or a racer, you wont be disappointed as you will ultimately build the foundation for safer and faster rides while improving overall control of your motorcycle.
