Ex-KTM MotoGP rider Johann Zarco has revealed he has signed a deal with Avintia Ducati Team to race for the satellite squad in 2020.
Johann Zarco will replaced the vacant Karel Abraham’s seat at Avintia team after it became clear he would not be getting the works Honda seat vacated by the retired Jorge Lorenzo.
The double Moto2 champion initially rejected the seat at Avintia as it is “not a top team”, but he hopes to land a Factory ride by 2021.
