Get Ready for the Petrolhead Extravaganza: MotorManiac Encore Edition!

Shah Alam, October 2, 2023 – The Media Department under BATERIKU.COM, known as Motormaniac, hosted a press conference at Bateriku Podium in Shah Alam to unveil exciting highlights of their annual petrolhead event, the Motormaniac Encore Edition. This thrilling automotive event is set to take place this weekend at the MYTOWN shopping center in Kuala Lumpur.

If you’re a fan of cars and automotive events, this specially curated 2-day event is just for you. Motormaniac will be organizing the Motor Maniac Encore Edition on the 7th floor of the MYTOWN car park in KL, from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Anticipated attendance is estimated at 40,000 visitors. A grand total of 450 cars, ranging from JDM, MDM, Continental, Concept Cars to Supercars, will be on display for enthusiasts to admire.

Visitors will also have the unique opportunity to witness the unveiling of Motormaniac’s inaugural project car, the Nissan Cefiro A31. This ambitious project, the Motormaniac A31 Project, began two years ago. Attendees will have the chance to view these 35-year-old cars, exhibited with modifications and a fresh new look.

Staying true to its motto, “Made by Enthusiasts, for Enthusiasts,” Project A31 stands as a testament to Motormaniac’s unwavering dedication to reviving vehicles for the open road. Inspired by the adage, “It’s not what you buy, it’s what you build that really counts,” spare parts for Project A31 have been sourced from Thailand, Japan, and the United States. The reassembly and construction were undertaken by Motormaniac’s youthful team, guided by industry experts and professionals nationwide.

The Motormaniac Encore Edition event is organized by BATERIKU.COM, with the support of the Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Ministry of Tourism Malaysia. The main partners include ASTRA, MYTOWN, UVR, and RETROHAVOC. Today’s media conference was led by the driving force behind Motormaniac, Mike Faizi, who shared some exciting news: “As car enthusiasts ourselves, we are committed to delivering the finest cars, competitions, and activities tailored for the thriving petrolhead community in Malaysia. We’ve added a new element of appreciation for exhibitor cars through awards such as ‘Best Fitment’, ‘Best Engine Bay’, ‘Best Classic Car’, and ‘Best Concept Car’, among others.”

“In addition to the impressive lineup of cars on display, we’ve also organized a ‘Cars for Sale’ area, featuring a selection of 16 cars available for purchase during the event,” Mike added.

“We’re also thrilled to announce the return of the Car Limbo & 2-Step Competition, a crowd favorite that gained notoriety during last year’s inaugural Motormaniac event. And that’s not all; this year, Motormaniac will introduce lifestyle programs and activities including vertical BBOY (Breakdance), BMX (Bicycle), and Hotwheels (Miniatures).”
