ROYAL ENFIELD MEDIA TEST RIDE

Royal Enfield Malaysia, under Didi Resources Sdn Bhd, officially held their innogural Media Test Ride, on the 19th July. held over 3 days, 3 batch of Media/Youtubers were invited to Test Ride, new models from Royal Enfield. Our Test Ride started at 8am, after the safety ride briefing, our route was to Nero Blanco Cafe, Janda Baik via the twisty old Gombak from Gasket Alley. The route back to The Chow Kit Hotel was through Karak Highway, for sumcious lunch. The riding day ended back at Gasket Alley at around 4.30pm   

A total of 5 media rider, was pre-selected for the 1st day test ride.

Medias got to test ride:

1. Continental 650 GT

2. Interceptor 650

3. Classic 350

4. Meteor 350

5. Himalayan 

We started the the test ride with Meteor 350, then swap with  Continental GT, after the ride break at Nero Blanco, the journey back to KL with Classic 350 and after sumcious lunch at The Chow Kit we test rode the Interceptor. With that we completed the inaugural Royal Enfield Media Test Ride.

ROYAL ENFIELD METEOR 350

The Meteor 350 represents the timeless classic and eternal essence of riding, the spirit of the cruise; with classic contours & timeless design cues. The Meteor proved to be ready for the open road and up to the challenge of city commuting, comes standard with Royal Enfield Tripper App. 

At the heart of the Meteor is the all-new air-oil cooled, 349cc, SOHC engine with a characteristic long stroke and electronic fuel injection system producing smooth tractable power & plenty of bottom-end torque. Continuing the legend of the easy singles, the new engine possesses a visceral exhaust note that is distinctively Royal Enfield.

With an enhanced chassis setup, accessible riding position, advanced braking ability, high specification suspension and responsive power delivery, the Meteor is set to light up the world of city cruising. The all-new chassis is stronger, stiffer and more durable and designed for stability, cornering and maneuverability without compromising on comfort.

The Meteor 350 features a Tripper navigation system, the first-ever in a Royal Enfield. Powered by Google Maps and the Royal Enfield App that connects smartphones with the motorcycle through Bluetooth. Tripper is a sophisticated navigation solution, that indicates directions through an intuitive display system with an additional USB charging port on the motorcycle.

ROYAL ENFIELD CONTINENTAL GT 650

Inspired by the iconic 60’s Interceptor with its greatest following in the American west coast, fitting perfectly into the easy-going, fun narrative of the time, the new Interceptor 650 Twin reimagines the sun-drenched California beach lifestyle. This modern classic is the essence of a British roadster with a dash of a California Desert Racer blending timeless style and contemporary performance. The frame was developed with Harris Performance, does the twisties of old Gombak road with ease and the agility is surprisingly nimble, even weighing at 202kg without fuel. we probably have a full tank under us during the test (approx 215kg)
