Pedro Acosta Storms to Sprint Podium at Aragon
Pedro Acosta delivered another stellar performance at the Aragon Grand Prix, securing 3rd place in the Sprint race at MotorLand Aragon. The Red Bull GASGAS Tech3 rookie showcased his talent once again, fighting at the front and earning his fourth Sprint podium of the season.
Acosta Charges to the Front Row
Returning to the 5km Aragon circuit for the first time since 2022, MotoGP riders faced a newly resurfaced track that quickly improved as rubber built up. Acosta adapted brilliantly, pushing through Q1 and delivering a blistering lap in Q2 to secure P2 on the grid—his second front-row start of the season and first since round three.
Podium Glory in the Sprint
With 30-degree temperatures heating up the track, Acosta made a strong start in the 11-lap Sprint. Despite some initial wheelspin off the grid, he quickly settled into a consistent rhythm, riding unchallenged to 3rd place and adding seven more points to his rookie campaign.
Acosta Reflects on His Performance
“We spun on the grid, but I saw a quick replay, and many other riders had the same. We suffered because of that, but these things can happen. We tried a few things this morning, and I think the low-grip conditions helped us. We can be happy that we’re back on the podium, but let’s keep going and see what we can do tomorrow.”
