The Festive Season is coming, and Suzuki Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. has successfully executed the Road Safety Campaign for the second time in conjunction with the Chinese New Year celebration this year. This initiative marks the seventh event in a series of annual programs organized under the AFY Mobility Industries (AMI) group of companies.

The central theme for the AMI-SUZUKI Road Safety Campaign this year is ‘Your Concern, Safety Together’ (‘Keprihatinan Anda, Keselamatan Bersama’). This chosen theme emphasizes the anticipated concerns of road users, particularly motorcycle riders and passengers. The inauguration ceremony, overseen by the Chairman of the Malaysia Motorcycle and Scooter Distributors Association (MMSDA), Dato’ Wee Hong, saw over 500 motorcycle users passing through the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza Rest Area Southbound. They took advantage of the free safety inspection for 16 motorcycle components conducted by professionally trained Suzuki mechanics. The registered inspections also included the exchange of old helmets for new ones, as well as the distribution of free riding gloves and safety riding jackets.

Ahmad Faez Tan Sri Yahaya, the Executive Chairman of the AMI Group of Companies, expressed, “Suzuki Malaysia hopes that our involvement and efforts in organizing this Road Safety Campaign can assist the government’s efforts in disseminating information about road safety and help reduce accident and fatality statistics on the roads, especially those involving motorcycle riders.”

The campaign received cooperation from the Motorcycle and Scooter Distributors Association Malaysia (MMSDA) and garnered support from the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM), Road Transport Department of Malaysia (JPJ), Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), Malaysia Institute of Road Safety Research (MIROS), and PLUS Malaysia Berhad (PLUS).
