Valentino Rossi to Petronas is sealed! The announcement will be before this weekend’s race, at Barcelona, Spain.
The contract between Petronas Yamaha Sepang Racing Team and Italian rider Valentino Rossi has been signed during a meeting between the two sides in Tavullia during the day.
Franco Mobidelli will be joined by Valentino Rossi in 2021.
Yamaha Factory has express support to Valentino Rossi by providing Factory spec Yamaha M1 in the satellite Petronas team. However, details of the finer aspects of the contract are still unknown, with the specification of Rossi’s bike and exactly how many of his crew would join him from his current team believed to be the two hardest-to-reconcile details during the talks.
