Finally. For fans of Yamaha motorcycles, the eagerly-awaited Yamaha R-25 should be available for purchase before the Chinese New Year holidays, or thereafter. Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo are scheduled to launch the R-25 in Malaysia next month. The new 250cc machine, which features a parallel twin engine and 36hp of power.
Seat height for the Yamaha R25 is kept at a low 780 mm to make it easier for Asian riders who are not very tall. On the instrument panel there is a fuel consumption meter indicator.
Yamaha YZF-R25 is loaded with technology and advanced features that are targeted for bikers upgrading from mopeds and scooters.
YZF-R25 is nicknamed Baby M1 as Supersport Design from the YZR-M1 has lent some design inspiration to the YZF-R25 (Mass forward silhouette design). It’s got a predatory stance with a sporty headlight, air duct in the middle, tapered rear with LED type lights, multi layered wraparound fairing the right and left that are characteristic of the R-Series, as well as aluminum alloy wheels fitted with tires with wide tread.
The YZF-R25 has three important highlights, namely:
1. Fastest (Hi revving Engine )
Superior Engine – 4 stroke injection engine 250 cc 2-cylinder, DOHC direct-drive camshaft with 8 valve, high compression combustion chamber, intake channel down draft type, independent 12 hole injector, liquid-cooled, DiASil Forged Piston Cylinder backed by Yamaha quality and technology.
2. Light (SPORTY HANDLING)
Diamond Combination frame and compact engine design, front suspension combined with the inner tube diameter of 41 mm, rear suspension type monocross, asymmetric rear long arm, mid-ship muffler, center of gravity of the bike (weight 166 kg )with perfect 50:50 distribution offering sportier control.
3. ADVANCED (TECHNOLOGY)
– Supersport speedometer with latest technology is equipped with shift timing indicator light, gear position, fuel consumption indicator, oil change indicator, trip meter, FI diagnostic, engine temperature, and a timer. (Multifunction meters)
– Floating-type front brake disc with dual piston,
– Diamond type frame with a special treatment that has 2 layers of coating, electrodeposition coating for the base layer and the top layer wrapped which makes it more durable – a global standard for the frame of the bike.
Yamaha YZF-R25 has a peak power of 36 hp and a Diamond-type frame combined with sleek and perfect weight distribution to make the YZF-R25 easy to ride.
