Hong Leong Yamaha Motor (HLYM) has achieved a significant milestone with the handover of 200 units of the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT to the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) — the largest single big bike supply by HLYM to PDRM to date.
The official handover ceremony was attended by YDH SAC Tuan Muhammad Hanif bin Othman, alongside senior PDRM officers and representatives from HLYM. The event also showcased a specially prepared Tracer 9 GT police mock-up unit, highlighting the model’s readiness for operational duties.
Chosen for its exceptional rider comfort, strong performance, advanced technology, durability, and proven reliability, the Yamaha Tracer 9 GT is purpose-built for high-level escort missions and specialised patrol operations, where stability, endurance, and consistent performance are critical.
PDRM’s selection reflects strong confidence in Yamaha’s global reputation for engineering excellence and reliability. Locally, this trust is reinforced by HLYM’s comprehensive aftersales support network, which includes over 250 Yamaha Quality Service (YQS) centres nationwide, as well as robust spare parts availability through HLYM’s Parts Centre and authorised dealers.
This strategic collaboration further strengthens Yamaha’s role as a trusted mobility partner, supporting national security efforts and enhancing public safety across Malaysia.
