After more than 6 months, riding rustiness has gone deep in! But what better to lube the old rusty bones with the all-new 2020 BMW S1000RR. The new S1000RR is not perfect but neither am I.
Jumping on the S1000RR (M Package) and you will be greeted with the RR TFT meter display, already set on Dynamic Mode.
So off we went for a 4 hour review! Yes only four hour! Picked up the S1000RR at 2pm, rode out to Genting Permai via Ulu Yam – Batang Kali route – Bukit Tinggi right route – down then up to left route. Continued back up to Genting Permai for a drink at A Record Cafe, Geo Resort & Hotel, Genting Permai (Free Fries For Bikers with Every Drink order)
Only what I didn’t like is the front brakes trail braking bite, I was trail braking halfway then suddenly get a sudden bigger bite at the front, maybe to use to Brembo’s trail braking bite. Like I said it’s not perfect but the plus point here is very Rusty Rider-Friendly! Whatever you casually throw at it the S1000RR is seamless and obey your every command and sometimes the DTC will interfere with your throttle control.
Like I said not perfect for rusty me but for most riders should quickly get riding the S1000RR a snap, as the electronics are more adaptive, I rode the M Package S1000RR variant, loaded with Akrapovič slip-on, Carbon Rims, Pro-Ride mode and active suspension to name a few juicy stuff with M Packaged together out of the showroom.
