The first variant of the Modenas Pulsar RS200 made its debut in May 2017 and today it is the most affordable 200cc sports bike in the market and has since sold almost 3,700 units.
The variant now comes in three new paint schemes, Pearl Metallic White and Pewter Grey – both glossy finishes – and Burnt Red, a matte finish that was officially introduced to the market on 24th March 2021.
Modenas invited local media and vbloggers to an exclusive Track Test at the Kuala Selangor Circuit.
22 medias and vbloggers were split into 4 session groups for an hour each session.
Riders were brief of the new RS 200 variant and its Unique Selling Point (USP) and a safety briefing conducted by Khai Zibidin, a veteran Off-Road Trainer.
Our session was the third session and under the scorching heat, we had about 30 minutes on track.
The track session started with guided 2 laps and after the 2 laps we were to go around the track unguided.

Bolted to a thick but light steel-pressed perimeter frame gives the bike extra stability and better control of the bike when cornering.The Modenas Pulsar RS200 looks more robust as compared to the Modenas Pulsar NS200 variant with a fully faired body kit and to top that off, the aggressive front gets a dual projector headlamps and a transparent visor.
The Modenas Pulsar RS200 is powered by a 5 cc, Triple Spark 4 Valve200cc DTS-i, Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) engine for more optimum fuel combustion without any power compromise.
Equipped with ByBre front single channel ABS and mated to a 6-speed gearbox, five step adjustable and Nitrox rear mono shock absorbers giving a sportier riding experience and stock grip by MRF Tyres, pretty grippy for the Litar Rakyat Circuit.
