Alpinestars Malaysia, represented by Sinar Puncak Sdn Bhd, has officially launched the highly anticipated Asia Fit Supertech R10 (S-R10) helmet, bringing MotoGP-derived technology and performance to Malaysian riders with a fit specifically designed for Asian head shapes.
The introduction of the Asia Fit S-R10 marks a significant milestone for Alpinestars, ensuring enhanced comfort, improved fit, and superior protection for riders across Malaysia and the region.
Developed over more than a decade of research, testing, and racing experience, the Supertech R10 is Alpinestars’ most advanced racing helmet to date. Designed with a singular focus on delivering maximum protection, aerodynamic efficiency, and lightweight performance, the S-R10 represents the pinnacle of the brand’s helmet engineering expertise.
The helmet underwent extensive development and real-world testing with MotoGP stars including Andrea Dovizioso, Jorge Martin, Jack Miller, and Pedro Acosta, helping refine its performance at the highest level of motorcycle racing.
Built to exceed the stringent ECE 22.06 safety standard and carrying FIM Homologation, the S-R10 offers exceptional impact protection. Its advanced carbon shell construction delivers up to 65% improved rotational impact management, providing riders with an added layer of safety in the event of an accident.
The shell utilizes a sophisticated multi-layer composite structure comprising 3K high-density carbon fibre, uni-directional carbon, aramid fibre, and fibreglass, engineered to maximize impact energy dispersion while improving resistance against penetration.
Further enhancing rider protection is a multi-density EPS liner featuring six strategically engineered zones designed to optimize energy absorption across various impact scenarios. A low-friction interface between the EPS liner and comfort padding allows controlled movement during impacts, helping reduce rotational, oblique, and linear forces transmitted to the rider’s head, neck, and brain.
Aerodynamic performance was also a major focus during development. The S-R10 features a MotoGP-tested dual spoiler system and lateral winglets, reducing aerodynamic drag while enhancing stability at high speeds, making it equally suitable for both track and aggressive sport riding.
For riders in tropical climates such as Malaysia, Alpinestars has equipped the helmet with an advanced ventilation system comprising 11 strategically positioned vents, including seven intake ports and four exhaust outlets. Combined with integrated EPS airflow channels, the system provides excellent cooling performance, improved airflow, and effective fog reduction.
Comfort remains a key highlight of the S-R10. The helmet features an integrated hydration channel system within the cheek pads, allowing seamless compatibility with hydration systems for endurance riding and racing applications.
Inside, premium Coolmax® lining enhances moisture management and breathability, ensuring all-day riding comfort. Riders can further fine-tune the fit using Alpinestars’ patented A-Head Fitment System, which allows precise adjustment of helmet height and angle for a personalized race-level fit.
