The TVS Asia One Make Championship has been an incredible spectacle, showcasing the impressive skills of riders from across Asia. Now into its 2nd season, Round 2 sees Malaysian riders dominate the Sepang Circuit.

In Race 1, Muzakkir Muhamad caught everyone’s attention with a flawless performance, leading from start to finish. Despite Ramdan Rosli and Piyawat Patoomyos of Thailand competitive efforts, they couldn’t surpass Muzakkir’s dominance.

Race 2, Muzakkir also started very strong, taking the lead from the first turn. Ramdan and Piyawat fiercely pursued him, but Md Ramdan Rosli of Malaysia claimed his first victory in Round 2 of the Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship.

Muzakkir pipped the 2022 Champion and Round 1 double winner Vorapong Malahuan of Thailand pipped to a photo finish second.

With one lap to go, the intensity peaked at the last corner, witnessing fierce rivalry. Ultimately, Ramdan emerged as the leader, with Vorapong, Muzakkir, and Piyawat pushing their machines to the limit. Ramdan, the Malaysian rider, triumphed with a time of 14’21:125s.

Reflecting on the race, Ramdan commented, “I had hoped for a win yesterday, but I fell short. Racing in this category is not as easy as it seems. Each participant possesses equal skill and experience, making it crucial to remain focused on the end goal. I now have a better understanding of the machine, and while we all have the same equipment, mindset and optimizing skills with strategy play a significant role. I’m grateful for today’s victory and look forward to winning more races in the future.”

Md Muzakkir Syah of Malaysia secured second place with a time of 14’21:204s, while Vorapong Malahuan of Thailand claimed third on the podium with a time of 14’21:203s.
