Calling All Kawasaki Riders: Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp Returns on 20 September 2026!

Better. Faster. Safer. — It’s time to stop simply riding your Kawasaki and start understanding how to ride it properly.

Kawasaki owners, mark your calendars. The Kawasaki Velocity Weekend Riding Camp returns on Sunday, 20 September 2026, bringing another full day of structured rider training with iRiDE Academy at Horizon Beranang Circuit.

And this isn’t a track day or a race.

Velocity Weekend is about giving everyday Kawasaki riders the opportunity to develop the skills that matter every time they get on their motorcycles — Control, Lines, Vision and Steering is part of iRiDE Academy’s Zero2Hero Day 1 Module.

Whether you’re riding a Ninja, ZX-series, Z-series, or another Kawasaki, the objective remains the same:

Become a Better, Faster & Safer rider.

You Bought the Kawasaki. Now Learn to Use It.

Modern motorcycles have become incredibly capable.

More horsepower. Better brakes. Better tyres. Sophisticated electronics. Improved suspension.

But none of those automatically make the person behind the handlebars a better rider.

One of the biggest mistakes riders make is believing that experience measured in years automatically equals riding skill. A rider can spend ten years repeating the same habits without ever understanding why the motorcycle behaves the way it does.

That’s where proper rider training changes things.

Kawasaki Velocity Weekend gives riders a controlled environment where they can identify bad habits, understand motorcycle dynamics and practise techniques under the guidance of experienced coaches.

The goal isn’t to turn everyone into racers.

The goal is to make you more confident and more in control of the motorcycle you already own.

What Will You Learn at Kawasaki Velocity Weekend?

The programme focuses on the fundamental skills behind iRiDE Academy’s Zero2Hero Day 1 Module.

CONTROL

Before chasing speed, riders need control.

The exercises are designed to help participants become smoother with their motorcycle and understand how their inputs affect stability and direction.

LINES

What actually makes a good cornering line?

Many riders simply follow the motorcycle ahead or turn wherever instinct tells them to.

Velocity Weekend introduces riders to understanding corner entry, direction and lines so that cornering becomes deliberate rather than guesswork.

VISION

Where you look has an enormous influence on where the motorcycle goes.

Riders will work on using their eyes more effectively, looking further ahead and processing corners earlier instead of becoming fixated on what’s directly in front of the motorcycle.

STEERING

A motorcycle doesn’t magically turn because you lean your body.

Understanding steering input — including the principles behind countersteering — can completely change a rider’s confidence when entering and changing direction through a corner.

Put these fundamentals together and riders begin to understand something important:

Speed is the result of good technique. It shouldn’t be the starting point.

“I’ve Been Riding for Years. Why Do I Need Training?”

That’s exactly the rider Velocity Weekend wants to reach.

Ask yourself:

1. Do you tense up when a corner suddenly tightens?

    2. Do you find yourself running wide?

    3. Do you brake unnecessarily halfway through a corner?

    4. Do you follow your friend’s line without knowing whether it’s correct?

    5. Are you comfortable on familiar roads but suddenly lose confidence somewhere unfamiliar?

    6. Did buying a bigger and more powerful motorcycle actually make you less confident?

If even one sounds familiar, there may be something worth improving.

The danger with bad riding habits is that they often work — until the day they don’t.

Professional coaching allows someone to observe what you’re doing from the outside, explain why it’s happening and give you a structured method to improve it.

Not a Race. Not About Who Is Fastest.

One of the most important messages behind Kawasaki Velocity Weekend is that riders do not need to be fast to participate.

    You don’t need track experience.

You don’t need to be able to get your knee down.

And you certainly don’t need to prove anything to the other riders.

    Come with one objective:

Leave as a better rider than when you arrived.

Everyone progresses differently, which is why the exercises are structured around learning and improvement rather than outright lap times.

From Road Rider to Thinking Rider

A major objective of iRiDE Academy training is to change the way riders think.

    Instead of:

“I hope I can make this corner.”

The objective is to develop the knowledge and confidence to understand:

“I know what I need to do here.”

    That difference is enormous.

When Control, Vision, Lines and Steering begin working together, riding becomes less reactive. You start creating more time for yourself, making better decisions and reducing unnecessary inputs.

    And when everything starts clicking?

    You don’t only become safer.

You naturally become smoother and faster too.
