MODA Sporter-S SKII Launched at RM17,998 — 10 New Features for Just RM110 More

Only RM110 more — but MODA has packed 10 new upgrades into the Sporter-S SKII.

MODA has officially launched the new 2026 Sporter-S SKII in Malaysia at RM17,998, excluding road tax, insurance and registration, replacing the original Sporter-S launched at RM17,888.

That means the new SKII costs just RM110 more than its predecessor.

But rather than simply changing colours and graphics, MODA has taken customer feedback seriously and given its sporty maxi-scooter a substantial technology, comfort and styling upgrade.

10 New Features on the MODA Sporter-S SKII

1. New 7-Inch TFT Touchscreen

The biggest cockpit upgrade is a new 7-inch full-colour TFT display with touchscreen operation, immediately giving the Sporter-S SKII a much more premium and modern interface.

2. Bluetooth Smartphone Connectivity

The new TFT can connect to the rider’s smartphone via Bluetooth, extending the scooter’s everyday connectivity capabilities.

3. Six-Page Data Logger

Performance-minded owners get something particularly interesting — a comprehensive six-page data logger displaying various engine parameters.

For a scooter in this price category, that’s an unusually detailed amount of information to place directly in front of the rider.

4. Electronically Adjustable Windscreen

No more stopping to manually adjust the screen.

The SKII now gets an electronically adjustable windscreen, making it easier to alter wind protection according to city, highway or touring conditions.

5. Built-In Front Digital Camera

A front-facing digital camera/dashcam is now incorporated into the package.

With Malaysian riders increasingly installing aftermarket cameras for ride recording and incident evidence, integrating one directly into the motorcycle is a useful real-world addition.

6. Aerodynamic Winglets

The Sporter-S SKII gains new aerodynamic winglets around the front cowl, giving the scooter an even stronger superbike-inspired appearance.

7. High-Luminance Signal Lights

MODA has upgraded the indicators with higher-luminance lighting, improving both appearance and visibility.

8. Revised Daytime Running Lights

The front lighting package also receives updated daytime running lights, strengthening the SKII’s road presence and distinctive front-end signature.

9. New Alloy Wing Mirrors

New alloy wing mirrors are designed to improve rearward visibility while simultaneously giving the scooter a more premium finish.

10. Revised Rear Suspension

Perhaps the most important improvement isn’t electronic at all.

MODA says the rear suspension has been revised following feedback from existing Sporter-S owners, with the objective of improving handling and comfort during commuting, leisure riding and long-distance journeys.

And It Is 2kg Lighter

There is another useful improvement beyond the equipment list.

The Sporter-S SKII now weighs 184kg — approximately 2kg lighter than its predecessor.

That may not sound dramatic, but weight reduction is always welcome, particularly on a machine intended to deal with daily traffic as well as longer-distance riding.

Familiar 24.8HP Engine Remains

Underneath the upgrades, MODA has wisely retained the existing powertrain.

The Sporter-S SKII continues with its liquid-cooled, single-cylinder four-valve SOHC engine using Bosch EFI, producing 24.8hp at 8,500rpm and 22.5Nm at 6,500rpm.

It also retains the useful 15-inch front and 14-inch rear wheel combination.

Braking is handled by twin 260mm front discs and a 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS standard.

Fuel capacity remains at 13 litres.

RM110 More — That’s the Headline

This is where the Sporter-S SKII becomes particularly interesting.

Original MODA Sporter-S: RM17,888

New Sporter-S SKII: RM17,998

Difference: RM110

For RM110 more, buyers are getting a substantially revised cockpit, touchscreen TFT, data logging, Bluetooth, electronic windscreen, integrated camera, revised suspension, upgraded lighting and several styling improvements.

In a motorcycle market where a new colour can sometimes result in a much larger price increase, that is difficult to ignore.

MODA Is Listening to Its Owners

Perhaps the most encouraging element of the SKII isn’t any individual feature.

It is the fact that MODA specifically says some of the changes — particularly the suspension improvements — were made following feedback from existing Sporter-S riders.

That fits the Malaysian brand’s “By Bikers, For Bikers” philosophy.

A motorcycle company should not stop developing a product once it reaches the showroom.

Owners become thousands of real-world test riders.

If manufacturers listen carefully, the second version should always be better than the first.

The Sporter-S SKII appears to be moving in exactly that direction.

Two New Colours

The 2026 MODA Sporter-S SKII is available in: Porsch White and Titan Blue.

The selling price is RM17,998, excluding road tax, insurance and registration.

At only RM110 more than the original Sporter-S, the real question may not be whether the SKII is worth the extra money.
