Sepang International Circuit (SIC) is delighted to announce the return of Sepang MotoGP™ Official Test that will kick off from 5 – 6 February 2022.
The kings of 2-wheels are back to test their ultimate machines for the upcoming 2022 season
consisting of 21 rounds. The 2022 FIM MotoGP™ World Championship calendar has been
released, with the first round on 6 March 2022 at Losail International Circuit, Qatar.
Chief Executive Officer of SIC, Azhan Shafriman Hanif said,” This will be the first international
motorsports event in Malaysia since the unprecedented pandemic with the participating
riders and teams travelling via Motorsports Travel Bubble. It is definitely a good start for 2022
and marks the collective effort to revive the Malaysian sporting and events industry. We
would like to thank Ministry of Health (KKM), National Security Council (MKN), Ministry of
Youth and Sports (KBS) and Immigration Department of Malaysia (JIM) for their immense
support and approval towards the event.”
SIC is also opening the door to the MotoGP™ fans with free entry to the Main Grandstand for
fully-vaccinated fans. Catch Fabio Quartararo, Francesco Bagnaia, Márc Marquez, Joan Mir,
Jack Miller, Johan Zarco, Maverick Viñales, Franco Morbidelli, Andrea Dovizioso and many
more in action during these two-day official tests.

Procedures (SOP) and guidelines imposed by the KKM, MKN and KBS to curb the spread of
COVID-19.
