Back To The Drawing Board” theme.

Yamaha EU invited the public to submit designs based its XSR700 model, where the winning design would be turned into an actual custom bike that will be brought to life by Parisian customs outfit, Bad Winners — that will be unveiled at this year’s Wheels & Waves festival in Biarritz, alongside seven other Yard Built winners. And after receiving a slew of submissions, Yamaha’s panel of judges have now selected a winner with France’s Barbara Custom Motorcycles taking the top prize for its two-wheeled render, entitled “Disruptive.” The design continues Barbara’s tradition of blending futuristic visual themes with aesthetic traits of yesteryear, in this case taking inspiration from Kenny Roberts-era GNC flat trackers, sporting a sleek, tank, side plates, and tail-section that puts a futuristic spin on traditional dirt oval racer bodywork.

The "Disruptive"

Created by Barbara Motorcycle, the XSR700 “Disruptive” tops the Yard Built 2020 competition. The design is inspired by post-Kenny Robert Yamaha flat track styled, 1970’s American oval track racer motorcycle.

Bad Winners will now be responsible to bring this XSR700 to life and will be presented at June in Biarritz during the Wheels & Waves 2020 edition, along with seven other Yard Builts from other European countries.
