An All-Aprilia Podium At Le Mans

At Le Mans, Aprilia Racing claimed one of the most important results in its MotoGP history. Jorge Martín took victory, Marco Bezzecchi finished second, and Ai Ogura completed the podium: three riders, three RS-GPs, and an all-Aprilia podium in the top class. A historic result that showcases the strength of the Aprilia Racing project and once again confirms the competitiveness of the RS-GP.

The French Grand Prix weekend ended with a historic result for Aprilia Racing, the undisputed protagonist at the Le Mans Bugatti Circuit with victory in the sprint race, a one-two finish in the long race, and Aprilia’s first-ever hat trick in MotoGP.

After claiming victory in Saturday’s sprint, Jorge Martín confirmed his outstanding form again in Sunday’s race, taking his first win with Aprilia Racing at the end of an extraordinary comeback ride from seventh on the grid. For the Spanish rider, it was also his ninth victory in the top class and his first MotoGP win in 588 days, dating back to Mandalika in 2024.

Martín had already kicked off the weekend with a perfect sprint race. Starting from eighth on the grid, he made an exceptional launch off the line to immediately take the lead and hold it all the way to the chequered flag. The victory also made him the rider with the most wins in MotoGP sprint history, with 18 victories.

It was also a standout weekend for Marco Bezzecchi, who finished on the podium twice at Le Mans. Third in Saturday’s sprint after a solid and consistent performance, the Italian rider then crossed the line second in Sunday’s long race, completing the Aprilia factory team’s one-two finish. For Bezzecchi, it marked his fifth consecutive podium since the start of the season — a feat not achieved since 2015, when Valentino Rossi managed the same result.

Ai Ogura also delivered a historic performance. After finishing seventh in the sprint race with the Trackhouse MotoGP Team, the Japanese rider claimed third place in Sunday’s race, completing the first all-Aprilia hat trick in top-class history.

A weekend that once again confirmed the competitiveness of the RS-GP and the outstanding form Aprilia Racing is showing throughout the 2026 MotoGP season.
