Previously we mod our Yello Mello with a new monoshock from Racing Boy (RCB) M2 Line for Y15ZR (208mm), although the M2 was much better than stock suspension there was still lacking in a few areas whereby the M2 wasn’t able to provide the rear tyre feel as mush as I wanted.  So I decided to upgrade again to the higher specification and the premium RCB suspension DB2 line. I got the DB2 plus line Race Kit which comes with an extra softer coil spring.

Again, immediately the handling was improved and more feeling from the rear even without changing tyre.

The DB2 line has 7 mono variant, each to fit popular motorcycle models, like Yamaha LC135 (203mm), Yamaha Y15ZR (208mm,) FXZ150/M-Slaz (205mm), Honda RS150 (229mm), Suzuki Belang (285mm), Suzuki GSX150 (280mm) and Kawasaki KLX150 (405mm)

Features:

  • Forged head with alloy body
  • Adjustable spring preload
  • Adjustable Rebound Damping
  • Adjustable Compression
  • Piston Rod Ø16mm
  • Piston Ø35/46mm
  • Piston Tank made
  • Additional Soft Suspension Coil

Rear Mono installation done at Advanced Cycle Sales & Service Centre Address: No. 86, Jalan SS 4A/1, Sri Setia Sungai Way, 47300 Petaling Jaya.

Front Fork service with thicker viscosity fork oil done at Chia Motor PJ. Address: No. 11, Jalan 21/17, Sea Park, 46300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Next, looking at wider size tyre 110/10 and 130/10 but good and grippy 10 inch is pretty hard to find but anyway the most important thing is to settle with the rear suspension.
